Brand building for long-term growth

Highlighting the evolving residential area behind the brand

Our goal was to capture the essence of tranquility, nature and quality that define the location. The logo design, colour palette and brand photography were inspired by the natural surroundings — the blues of the lake, greens of the shoreline and soft neutrals of wood and stone. The area branding needed also to match the other EKE marketing materials and main brand.

Together with our client, we defined the target segments and technical guidelines in a collaborative workshop. Based on the workshop we were able to identify the key messages and write the narrative that would resonate with target audience and form the foundation of the concept, together with the visuals. Alongside the storytelling, we expanded the understanding of the area by highlighting nearby services, public transport and accessibility, the school and daycare network, as well as the cultural, outdoor and leisure activities, the neighbourhood offers throughout the year.

Together, they form a distinctive visual identity that feels grounded in place and recognisable across all marketing materials including brochures, event and print advertising and social media.

A brand built for long-term growth

The area’s development is part of a long-term plan, and the identity was designed to evolve with it. Created for our long-standing partner EKE Rakennus, the brand will serve both the client and the growing community for years — even decades — to come. Its flexibility allows for consistent storytelling and scalable use across future residential phases and target audiences.

Bringing nature to the heart of the story

The brand photography, visual identity and tone of voice highlight the shoreline, the light and the sense of peaceful living close to nature. Every touchpoint reinforces the idea of coming home to a serene, inviting and high-quality environment. As the first apartment building is now under construction, our focus at this stage was to convey the overall atmosphere of the area and the people who will inhabit it. We achieved this by placing photography at the core of the identity. We organised a photoshoot with models of different ages at Kurkiranta and captured the feeling of lakeside living in Kirkkonummi — close to nature, yet well connected to the services of Espoo and Helsinki.
